About
First and foremost we aim to educate young people to be responsible human beings that look out for each other but also have a deep respect for nature and our Creator. The future truly belongs to the youth, and we need to make sure that our pre adults understand character. All of our courses and camps are built on these foundations.
Secondly we offer specialised nature and ocean training for young and old.
This is includes but are not limited to.
O.G.A.S.A (Ocean Guides Association of South Africa.) - We will teach you all
you need to know about the sea and ocean safety. This course is also known
as know the ocean.
Life Saving Selection Course - Our annual life guard training course.
Adventure Hikes - We offer various adventure hikes from the Overberg all the way to the Limpopo.
4 X 4 Adventures - Why not join us on a guided 4 x 4 trip anywhere in Southern Africa.
Sea and Sand was started in 1971 by Sparks Esterhuysen and has grown over the years to the respected organisation that it is today. We still train the Navy and Army yearly on the various aspects of the ocean and ocean safety. We have saved more than 13 000 people out of the ocean over this period, and when keeping in mind that the average age of our life guards are 16 it is truly an amazing feat.
